We chose this particular marathon because is in sunny FL, it's fast and flat course, great Boston qualifier....if you are interested, it's the oldest marathon in FL and it looks like it could be a great adventure for the entire family! The marathon is based on a "space theme" so I think kids would love it. The beneficiarie this year is Team-In-Training along with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society(LLS) which they are the dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.
So, are you up to the challenge? Let's do it! Official training starts August 1st. As of 4-30, we have 5 Christian Milers signed up! Lockhart's, and Mayte and Ruben Flores.
Cost:
Marathon = $80 registration
Half Marathon = $70 registration
Here's a video of the race.<
