Subway's (slim) Jared finishes NYC marathon

When photos surfaced last December showing Subway spokesman Jared Fogle looking considerably heftier, the brand had a problem on its hands. So, a plan was hatched: Make Jared run the New York City Marathon. Subway built an entire campaign around Jared covering the 26.2 miles. Yesterday, he was able to struggle his way to the finish in a pedestrian 5:13. It seems Jared used a jog/walk plan, based on footage of him walking up Fifth Avenue (see below). Subway immediately ran "Congratulation, Jared" commercials. Celebrity marathoning has been a thing since Oprah made her way through the Marine Corps Marathon in 4:29. Jared wasn't able to match her, but he did beat out some other celebrities, including Chilean miner Edwin Pena (5:40), Howard Stern co-host Robin Quivers (6:09) and Today weatherman Al Roker (7:09).

Heart Attack Grill: A "Girl Grill of my dreams is a heart stopper" is a theme restaurant whose specialties include the Quadruple Bypass Burger and Flatliner Fries, cooked in pure lard -- is making health-care professionals' blood pressure rise, and not because of the menu.

The Heart Attack Grill is a Chandler, Arizona burger restaurant that has become internationally known for incredibly large unhealthy hamburgers and due to being criticized by the Arizona Board of Nursing and Baltimore-based Center for Nursing Advocacy for putting its waitresses in naughty nurse uniforms.

The Heart Attack Grill was founded in 2005 by Jon Basso, with the intent of serving "nutritional pornography", food "so bad for you it's shocking". The menu includes "Single", "Double", "Triple", and "Quadruple Bypass" hamburgers, ranging from half a pound to two pounds of beef, "Flatliner Fries" (cooked in pure lard), cigarettes, beer and liquor, and soft drinks. The names imply coronary artery bypass surgery, referring to the danger of developing atherosclerosis from the food's high proportion of saturated fat and hugely excessive caloric content. The Quadruple Bypass burger has 8,000 calories. Customers who finish a Triple or Quadruple Bypass burger are pushed in wheelchairs to their cars by the waitresses.

The Heart Attack Grill is a hospital theme restaurant. Founder John Basso calls himself "Dr. Jon", and dresses in a white doctor's lab coat.[3] Customers are referred to as "patients", orders as "prescriptions", and the waitresses as "nurses".

The waitresses' nurse costumes and behavior have caused the most controversy. The waitresses wear crosses on their nurse hats, thigh-high fishnet stockings, short skirts, and low-cut tops. On occasion, they sit at the table with customers while they eat, role-play as nurses, or even jump into the arms of their customers. wikipedia page
