I got up at 5:45AM and went to Kohl’s to purchase the Nextar X3-08 GPS system for only $59.99 my parents which retails for $249.99 – that’s a savings of $190 after rebate and $20 worth of Kohl’s cash. I arrived at the store around 6:30AM and the lines were incredibly long, with every register open I had a 48 minute wait, but it was well worth it.
Here details about the Nextar X3-08 GPS system:

- Built-in speaker
- Voice-guided directions with Turn by Turn voice prompts
- Built-in 50 U.S. states + Canada map

- Automatically recalculate the route
- Speed alert
- Text to Speech (TTS) -Clearly pronounces instructions including street names - English
- SD card slot for added memory
- MP3 playing & Pictures viewing mode (requires SD card, not included)
- 2D or 3D map viewing modes

I bought mine and it worked well until June. Since then it will not load the navigation part of the program. The help desk said to send it to them in Ca. and include a check for $25 for return shipment and they will fix it or replace it. I don't think it is worth another $50. I hope to find a way to reload the navigation application. We'll see.

Did anyone got their rebate ? I have sent my submission twice but haven't received it yet. On the rebatestatus.com site, when I give my information, there I don't find any status. It seems they are not processing the rebate at all.

My x3-08 was a christmas gift. Worked fine and then it crashed, contacted nextar service and found out they are the biggest joke since the trojan horse.
Went to place of purchase and they gave me a new one, hoping for better luck this time.
Updates are yours for only $129 per nextar service reps.
Still a big joke

Do not purchase Nextar products, they are terrible when compared to the name brands, like Garmin and Magellan. Bought my wife an x3 with the thought that we could soon upgrade the maps..never going to happen. Maps are 2 years old at best, and they have no support whatsoever. Pay the extra money for a better unit with more recent maps. You'll save youself a lot of headaches (and wrong turns).
In addition, the boot up time is HORRIBLE. I bought a refurbed Magellan 4040 from Tiger Direct for the same price as I paid for the Nextar, and it boots up and locks onto a signal almost instantly compared to the x3, which can take 3 - 4 minutes to find a signal.
The units are junk compared to most everything out there.

I BOUGHT 3 OF THE 3.5" GPS AT KOHL'S ON 11/01/2008. I SENT EVERYTHING THAT WAS REQUIRED. THE COST WAS 129.99 WITH A 20.OO REBATE OFFER. IT IS 2/4/2009 AND I STILL HAVEN'T GOT MY REBATE. WHEN I CALL THE NUMBER PROVIDED I GET A WEBSITE FOR REBATES SENT TO TEXAS MINE WENT TO ARIZONA. THIS PRODUCT IS SO OUTDATED THAT I MIGHT GET WITH IN A MILE OF WHERE I WANT TO GO. THIS IS A RIP-OFF!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not worth anything if it is so out of date for POI. POI is what makes a GPS really useful. It has only a tiny bit of POI info. Doesn't even have Costco stores that have been at same location for over 15 years.

did you guys get your Kohls money off the price of your gps?

Ernest,
I think previous poster deducted the Kohl's Cash received.
$99.99 - $20 rebate - $20 Kohl's Cash = $59.99
Hope that helps.
