Lighted Slippers -- That Let you See in the Dark!
Doug Vick thought that adding LEDs to slippers was a bright idea (yes, pun intended). I don’t care. I really don’t. I won’t buy them, and I reserve the right to laugh openly at those who do.
Here’s my issue. It’s billed as, “the perfect gift for any occasion". Any occasion? Seriously, if your neighbor just lost her husband, would you knock on her door and say, “I know things seem dark now, but these slippers will bring some light into your life.” I don't think so.
My question is... what other occasions can you think of that would not be appropriate to wear this?
perhaps people know where things are withintheir house...however...maybe these things would help that ONE time when you need it..i like the idea...i would have a hard time remembering to pick up batteries for my slippers once i needed new ones! still kinda cool and i think people would be them for xmas gifts if $20 or less...for friends, co workers , select family members who give fun gifts and of course to old people who may appreciate them,..

My 73 year old mother fell down 16 stairs on the way back from the bathroom right next door to the guest bedroom because she miscalculated the distance to the door and stepped out into nothingness. Thank God she was alright. This won't happen again on my watch!
