Here’s a picture of our house taken yesterday (day 43 since the slab was poured). This past weekend I was able to wire the house for 10 speakers (2 in the kitchen, living room, dinning room and office and the 2 rear-speakers in the family room) and I will have 3 additional shelf speakers in the entertainment center as well for a total of 13 house-shaking blow-you-out-of-your-seat sound system. That is if I can afford the speakers and system. Yesterday I was able to install a sound bat in the wall to Mason’s room (to keep the sound out), master bedroom (not to keep the sound out but to keep the sound in our bedroom, just kidding) and laundry room (to keep the sound in).
This morning the insulation was installed and the drywall started around noon. The drywall, trim, and painting should be finished in about 10 days.
The shake around the front door and above the garage will be painted a darker brown and the front door and metal roofs above the front door and dining room will be painted a dark green.
The brick columns (40” above the front landing), front landing (under the front door cover), back porch, and water table will be done when weather permits.
So that’s it, but if you would like to see more pictures visit my photo album.
