How to: Steal Software from a Computer Store Using a Portable Hardrive

This video is from a TV show called The Real Hustle, In this episode of “The Real Hustle”, Hustler Jess is planning to go to a computer store and steal all the software using a portable hard drive.

This will not work on Windows and you can steal some mac programs that way. But the really expensive stuff requires not just the application file but the permission files hidden in the Application Data directory. Any pirate who wants the software worth “thousands of pounds” is not going to risk his neck going into an apple store where there IS a chance of getting caught, they’ll just do what they’ve done for years - P2P, IRC, and newsgroups.
