digislide: Projecting your image
While many companies are hitting us with portable LED-based projectors, Australia's Digislide has an entirely new concept: incorporating the projector into handheld devices, including cellphones, Pocket PC's, GPS devices, Gaming devices, Laptops and MP4 players. Soon you will be able to project images as large as 11x17-inches from a distance of about 3 feet. The company hopes to incorporate the technology into devices and add-on components by the end of the year.
Digismart is a patented technology that will soon allow mobile handsets to have projection capabilities.
The Digismart technology design, centres on the use of a miniature wide-angle lens system. The design protection covers the unique lens arrangements and use of solid state or filament lamps (the former largely eliminate heat end energy consumption issues) for fixed, hand-held and mobile apparatus applications.
